The St. Louis concept is a 8/10!!! 2nd best out of 15. Add the trumpet logo as shoulder patches, replace white stripe with Red and it’s a 10/10. Fans need to accept teams from the same city using similar colors to unite the City. For example: 80s-90s Blues/Cardinals, L.A. Lakers/90s Kings, Boston Red Sox/New England Patriots, Washington Wizards/ Capitals/Nationals, Montreal Canadiens/Expos/ Pittsburgh Penguins/Pirates/Steelers, New York Mets/Islanders, kinda Toronto Maple Leafs/Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners/Kraken & Atlanta Falcons/Hawks.
The Jackets Ohio number shape is carried over from the NHL'S first Encounter with Ohio, the 1970s flop that was the Cleveland Barons.
Huge canucks fan and loved the blue green Flying V jersey hahaha
The Flyers had a Stadium Series feel to that one.
the numbers inside the Ohio outline is a callback to the Cleveland Barons
Overall, I really liked this set of jerseys. They were all very interesting. Here are my Top 7:
1. New York Rangers
2. St. Louis Blues
3. Florida Panthers
4. Ottawa Senators
5. Pittsburgh Penguins
6. Dallas Stars
7. Washington Capitals
My least favorite was the Minnesota Wild. I thought having the two logos in the front and the stripes on the arms was too much. All those elements made the jersey too busy
Vancouver the cosmo Kramer of the NHL they are hideous but sublime must have it.
Heritage Series Jersey Concepts Rankings:
Top 6:
New York Islanders would be number 6.
"Darling, leave the light on for me, I'll be there before you close the door…" — Belinda Carlisle (circa 1987)
Columbus Blue Jackets would be number 5.
The state of Ohio is "HI" in the middle and round on the ends!
Ottawa Senators would be number 4.
Great stripes, including that at the bottom of the sweater.
Carolina Hurricanes would be number 3.
The greyness of the background is terrific — in the Eye of the Storm.
Seattle Kraken would be number 2.
Let's go Mets!
Boston Bruins would be number 1.
Sanderson to Orr! Shot…scores! Bobby Orr from Sanderson! What could be better than that?
Bottom 6:
Colorado Avalanche would be number 32.
This is a rip off of the former Colorado Rockies (now NJD), 1976 – '82.
Los Angeles Kings would be number 31.
Did you say medium rare or burn it?
Vancouver Canucks would be number 30.
Neil: "Very silly, very crazy…hideous!" Yes, indeed!
Detroit Cougars would be number 29.
Sorry, I meant to refer to the Motown Red Wings.
Minnesota Wild would be number 28.
Why is the text part of the Heritage jersey?
Philadelphia Flyers would be 27.
Are you ready for some football?
This listing is awesome, Great Daine!
The canes on is a Heather gray remix of first alt black jersey. Granted it doe doesn't feel vintage to me either but that was the base of that design.
Overall good jerseys… the drop shadowing in all the jerseys threw me off a little, but it's minor. Wild are my top pick as well. Caps are a sentimental favourite (my team), if they gassed the extra striping.
The Penguins concept should be in the original blue colors just like the winter classic since those colors are heritage
Islander fan here. I think the Carolina jersey was emulating the driving rain blowing sideways that you get in the teeth of a hurricane. I thought it was rather brilliant.
Honestly I was hoping the Flying V in their current colours would be the Canucks new reverse retro
Absolutely loved Colorado and Winnipeg
I hope the pens winter classic is blue with the robo penguin
wild is my favorite
Minnesota
Philadelphia
Seattle
Vancouver reminds me of the Fremantle Dockers jersey
All of these concepts are amazing! My top 5;
1. Panthers
2. Golden Knights
3. Wild
4. Flyers
5. Rangers
What bothers me most about this is that the creator puts a totally different meaning into the word 'heritage' than I do, because most of them feel really modern to me. Hurricanes jersey reminds me of something people wear to the gym, and while i like the Flyers jersey the wordmark feels completely modern. I'm not going over every jersey. As far as 'heritage' jerseys go I give this a fail, but many of them could work as reverse retros or something like that.
I do like some though; the Kachina pattern was a great call, same with the sun rays in the Panthers jersey. Vegas also looked really good, and Ottawa had some good ideas that can be played around with
The Canes jersey reminded me of television static.
