  1. I have been to Jersey and let me say something first: you can NOT just move there and relocate, it’s impossible without having (granted) a job there! Even the richest can’t just move to Jersey. Otherwise the Island have been bought completely by rich millionaires. Check the laws first, it’s nearly impossible to relocate as a foreigner and that’s good ?? if you’re granted to live there, you can buy a „normal 2 bedroom apartment“ from starting about 1 million £. I don’t know rent prices, but they’re incredible high! Costs of living standard vary depending where you’re buying your food and things like that. A regular frozen Margarita Pizza in the supermarket co-operative local can cost you easy 6-7 £. A can of beer in the supermarket is about 2.50£ and in a normal restaurant a beer (Liberation) starts at 5£. But you can decide where you want to eat, prices in pubs are „cheaper“. A one person lunch can start for 15£ there, in restaurants there’s no limit, it can easily starts for 50£ or more each person. So if you’re planning to visit the Island, it’s good to check prices first, but all in all, it’s not a cheap trip to go there. Once again, don’t try to relocate there, it’s nearly impossible because of their laws. For making holidays, Jersey is a kind of paradise. 35 minutes by plane from London and you’re feeling like you’re in the Caribbean (in summer), breathtaking beaches and a heritage which is absolutely astonishing. Check those Jersey castles ? and explore the past century(s) in the war tunnels or la Hogue Bie tomb. So much culture and history on a small lovely Island. Last but not least, Jersey is a crown dependancy. It’s not England, they’re calling themselves not to be British. They have own passports, own currency, own Parliament and own laws. Very special „country“

  2. This is total BS. It is not the most expensive place in the world! Utter rubbish. Plus you need to take into account the rates of tax and disposable income as a result. 0% Corporation Tax, 20% Personal Income Tax and 0% Capital Gains Tax. How much more would you earn if you were paying those rates of tax? I have lived in the UK, Australia, and Jersey, and when all elements are considered Jersey is the best value of the three….

Bermuda, Cayman, BVI are all crazy expensive, but you pay 0%, 0%, and 8% respectively.

  3. As a jersey born, i can confirm that jersey is absolutely patheticly over price, no locals can afford to live here without social help because the minimum wage is pathetic and yet everything is constantly given price rises.

  4. Here's a comparison. Poland: Apartment 2 bedroom 70sqm. 460 Euros p/month. Food: 270 Euros p/month (Mainly organic), Childcare: 270 euros p/month. Uber 5km 3 euros. Yeah, I'm sure the salary here is less. I work in IT and make about 3700 euros p/month after tax

  5. Prices are way cheaper than in my country.
In our coin, we pay for accommodation about 2000 (middle class).
    Electricity: 300-400, water:200-300), internet:150.
    ¡I want to move there!

  6. More expensive then the USA, but the USA is a broad economy. Better to compare the cost to say California or New York or even metropolitan areas. I don’t think it more expensive then say San Francisco

  7. My french boyfriend introduce this island to me and yeah he said this island is only for the rich. Watching your vlog, yeah i do agree apartment rents are too high compared here in my place but the food prices is more or less the same than here.

  8. My dad also lives in Jersey and he said that living there is very expensive but I’ve always wanted to study and live there. Maybe someday. Btw sir, I love your videos! I’ve been trying to find a Jersey vlog from a Pinoy too
