Is it a problem to play this 3 times every time?
1994-2004 was peak DMB. Special times.
♥ music of the 1996!
Take note of what is missing…
…cell phones. People today will have their phones out the whole damn concert instead of enjoying the moment in front of them. Look at the lady dancing @3:23 and singing along. Look at the applause. Such a stark difference from todays overstimulated phone generation. I truly believe for all the good phones do, there is equal harm cause. To me, its a faux joy. I hope one day it is taken more seriously. Get out there and live.
Life goes by fast, I was fresh out of high school back in 1999, I wasn’t feeling much love back then, I meet my soon to be wife in 2007, we been together ever since and was blessed with two daughters, Y’all don’t give up out there , my life was looking hopeless between 1999 to 2007 then I found everything that holds meaning and purpose to me in this life.
Fan.tastic.
The date of this show was 9/11/1999
Seems symbolic in a lot of ways
Girl at 3:26….feelin it!
Dave Matthews is a master at writing music that has no continuous pattern yet incredibly synchronized. Makes no sense. Just a one in a billion songwriter
Joe dirte brought me here???
I think those fortunate to experience the late 90s were lucky. It was really a time of excitement with all the tech revolution happening, but before cell phones were common, and the last bit of naivete and innocence. Also, after the 2000 election and 9/11 the world really got a lot darker. Then antisocial media (what it should be called) came about a few years later. There is a lot of bad things that drastically effect our lives from these 3 events. Multiple wars, changes in air travel, and the current political environment can be tied to those.
A book could be written in depth sharing the stories of those that rose to this song.
Dave's eyes… goodness.
"hhrrrrrrrderrrrrrrttttburrrrrr crrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyassssahhhh into me" -Dave Matthews
Absolutely the best version I've seen.
???
5:35 Carter Beauford always smooth as glass with an epic drum fill…one of the greatest drummers of all time.
This song makes me feel like everything has happened because it needed to, but that we will be ok at the very end ?

Damn, he really packed the house full on this concert.
This was when the band was at it's best. You can hear all the musicians. This version can not be played any better.
