Sweetest woman god ever blessed this earth with and the last year of my life she would get scared, confused and cry. Broke my fuckin heart. The days she was clear, man. I miss her.

2. After all the everything of life, and you come out the other end of middle age, this is all that's left for you: your memory until it fails. Then a few visits from people you don't remember. They realize you don't remember them, the visits decrease, and soon stop altogether. All that's left is a lonely life with an even lonelier end. Heartbreaking.

5. I always liked it. The little detail Tony put in after realizing junior still remembers what this thing of ours means and makes Tony realize his uncle is a gangster within his soul but a shattered man outside of that.

13. My dad has dementia and honestly… it's weird ? We didn't need no doctor telling us that he had it, we slowly realized it ourselves, and I have to say that it's quite weird. It feels weird to me because I know that he has it, but it's like I still haven't realized it. A couple of months ago, my dad lost all feelings in his legs, and I was the one who followed him in the ambulance when he was on the way to the hospital. Fast forward three months, I went to visit him at the hospital as usual (honestly not as much as I should have), and as we talked, he suddenly said something, he said that he didn't remember me being in the ambulance with him, and that shocked me a little because I was holding his hand the entire time as he was almost crying from the pain he felt… Yeah, it feels weird.

24. I wish it didn't happen like it all did. I would have hoped things calmed down with June and he let Tony take of things over. Forgive his long time girlfriend and took the flight.

26. This is the second best scene between uncle June & Tony, two alpha males. The moistening of Tony's eyes seeing his uncle in this condition is beyond explanation. Best series ever!!

I watched my grandfather slip mentally and years after that slowly my grandmother too, fast forward to 2023 my father can't remember small things and he's always repeating his self and gets confused every now and again. this scene hurts to watch more then anyone who hasn't dealt with this could ever truly know!

37. Although you really don’t want to like junior for all the bad things he’s done to Tony throughout the show, this scene is still so heartbreaking to watch cause of how amazing a performance was given. Uncle Junior hands down one of the best performances on television

38. This, much like the ending of the Irishman, reveals no matter how powerful you might have been in your younger years we’re all left as an older broken down mess at the end of our lives. At the end, all that strength of your youth can’t save you from the inevitable.

42. One of the worst experiences a human can suffer to sit across from somone you no loves you and you love them but they just don’t no you anymore. Few years ago just before my Nan passed to cancer her dementia was so bad she didn’t no who I was despite seeing me all the time she got very upset and irate saying she didn’t have a grandson to which I said your right I’m sorry I shouldn’t tell lies and she turned to my mum and said ahh isn’t he a good boy remember who they were but never leave the ones you love until they take there last breath as painful as it is fight for them as they have for you to everyone going through somthing similar stay strong it gets better you just won’t be able to see it yet

43. Never easy to lose one to dementia, seems to only strike those that are realy strong minded. I’ve lost two. Great series great episode

44. You can almost hear Tony say without rancor, in the most somber way… I liked him better when he was full of piss and vinegar.
