BL England smokestack imploded in South Jersey
The landmark BL England smokestack came down in a cloud of dust Thursday morning at Beesleys Point. Demolition of the smokestack was the third phase of dismantling the former power plant in Cape May County, which could be seen across South Jersey and from the Garden State Parkway.

Once we all realize the wind and solar power will not be enough to replace the demand placed on the grid, and everyone’s afraid of clean nuclear power… we’ll be back to burning coal in no time and a big beautiful plant will be put right in place of what was here before with 4 nice stacks bellowing out into the atmosphere.
