Richard Berdnik was a retired Clifton police officer who had been the county sheriff since 2011. He died Tuesday at a restaurant in Clifton. CBS New York’s Naveen Dhaliwal reports.

Impulsive suicide is an easy puzzle to piece together & something his family & friends need to be aware of. I say it is an easy puzzle when you know about a case I worked clear back in the late 1999's & early 2000's of a family murder/suicide that left four dead. The suspect was the father/grandfather only days on the antidepressant drug Paxil. In this wrongful death suit against the drug maker the expert for the Pharmaceutical company testified that the way these antidepressants inhibit the metabolism of serotonin produces impulsive murder or impulsive suicide. Find out if he was on one of those same antidepressant drugs Fire Chief Fred Bair was on in Tucson, AZ when he rushed into a popular restaurant & shot & killed a friend eating with his ex-wife, chased the ex into a restroom, shot her & then himself. Or on Prozac after the decorated Officer Stephen Christiansen & pastor was on & complaining the drug was causing him halucinations when he ran into a police substain in the middle of the night shooting while wearing civilian clothes. He exited on a gurney with 27 bullets in him. I could go on & on & on but that should be sufficient to make your answer as simple a math problem as 1+1= 2!!! After 30+ years of gathering the dead…I am sick & tired of doing so!!!
