USS New Jersey CVN – 796
Going to be some time before we get there. USS Enterprise CVN-80 hasn't even been launched yet.
Only Ryan could make a suit look that cheap and nasty
Why does the towel say CVN-796 instead of SSN-796?
If memory serves, the red, white, and blue bunting from the Submarine North Carolina is on display at Battleship North Carolina's museum. Ryan should look into something similar if it exists.
I love how giddy he is in this haha
I feel like the saying "Rest well, yet sleep lightly and hear the call, if again sounded, to provide firepower for freedom." will be present in some form or another for all future New Jerseys. And now I wonder if we ever get to see the commissioning of a New Jersey in Star Trek (like the NCC-1975), if those words are used in some form. Passed down from her forbearers
Anybody else notice that the towel says CVN-796, and not SSN-796? The “new” New Jersey is not and aircraft carrier. Lol
Admiral Tucker paraphrasing Captain Peniston's decommisioning speech and passing the torch is a great symbolic moment. Just about everything that can be done to make SSN-796 the spiritual successor to BB-62 has been done.
Its hard to top these two artifacts!
And: Ah, there is that towel again with the CVN instead of SSN – it's about to go viral anytime soon 😅
CVN-796???? im confused, isnt cvn a carrier designation?
its fun seeing ryan so geeked out lol.
Ryan in a suit needs to be an action figure………
Ryan is so genuinely excited and happy about this. I love that.
Love seeing ADM Tucker he looks great .
The great submarine… as long as not some stupid gal attaches a Starlink antenna to the periscope😢 Greatness is at risk today!
Awesome!
I read your title as "A USS Liberty Reunion: Christening Bottles" and though holy smokes! Then I came to my senses… They wouldn't allow that!
That is spo cool mu grandfather was station on the battleship during world War 2 he was a cook
I agree Ryan, this is a very special and important display.
Take good care of those artifacts, they should still be around and available to display as additional christening bottles are added to the collection. One day perhaps the christening bottle for NCC-1975, Starship USS New Jersey will be added.
That towel say CVN 796?
EPIC missed opportunity by not making the christening bottle chest out of the original teak from the deck of BB-62.
He probably gve a spech at thos evrnt and finish ot with that quote🤣🤣🤣
More cool stuff Ryan. Thanks!
Cripes, sounds like a bar brawl going on in the background!
Where's your necktie? LoL
fantastic… fascinating… cheers Ryan.
You gonna address the fact that the submarine New Jerseys going to be coed staffed? As a man of facts you should know that it is going to end horribly
Thomas Edison! No way, Ryan. Bud Abbott (Asbury Park, NJ) and Lou Costello (Paterson, NJ) Movie: In the Navy, 1941. Filmed on the U.S.S. Alabama (BB-60). "There's a tomato in the potato locker…."
HI RYAN,, LOOKING GREAT!! WHAT A GREAT HONOR TO BE WHERE YOU ARE AT TELLING THE STORY OF THE PASS TO NOW… BEING SO CHEERFUL WE SEE YOU LOVE THE HISTORY AND THE GREAT B.B. 62 ,, ALOT OF WORK HAS SAVED THIS GREAT OLD SHIP AND A WONDERFUL TEACHING PLACE FOR OUR KIDS IN THE FUTURE ,, CHEERS ,,PEACE…..
A 700 nuclear carrier navy implied by that towel.
The giddiness in Ryan's voice is so great. You couldn't ask for a better curator.
