1. Re: Mike's apology, just so anyone reads this, when you f*k up bad (and Mike did)…
   1. Meet with the person you wronged (if possible)
   2. Specifically, and accurately identify what you did wrong.
   3. Identify WHY that action was wrong.
   4. Make reparations if necessary (in the case of stealing or damaging someone else's property)
   5. Solemnly promise you will never do that to them, or anyone else. This can be difficult, but do the best you are able.
   6. Do not ask them for forgiveness or acceptance. You've done all you could as a mature man or woman. It's up to them to refuse to forgive or accept the sincerity.

   Finally, do NOT do the above if the result will harm someone else (such as revealing a spouse who violated marriage vows or something like that. Leave dead dogs buried). Don't hurt someone.

   I've had to do those actions a few times in my life and it sucks. It hurts. It's embarrassing and humbling. But, it's necessary to do. It helps you to grow in maturity because it sucks so bad having to make legitimate apologies it changes your behavior.

   In EVERY case I've made legit apologies the person I hurt 100% accepted it because they could tell instinctively how hard it was for me to do that and that I really cared about them. Those people are still my friends.
