1. I’ve seen this movie 2 times now and I have to say that it’s a beautifully made movie. The performances were amazing with Shahid Kapoor being the star of the show. Especially, in the scene where he screams in front of the moving train was so powerful and was one of my favourite scenes from the movie. A lot of people say that Nani’s version was better but Shahid was also amazing on the Hindi version. I was disappointed to find out that it failed at the box office but this movie deserves a lot of love.

8. The Hindi remake is nowhere comparable to the original. The cricketing sequences were better. But there is a huge gap between the performance of nani vs shahid, nani speaks through his eyes. The bgm in Telugu was the heart of the movie and is much better compared to its hindi counterpart. Pankaj kapur unfortunately doesn't look like a cricket coach. Overall in an attempt to be more authentic, the emotion of the original (which is its soul) was compromised. Unfortunately, I do not concur with your review of this movie.

12. Just watched it on netflix, I want to add one thing I am from Chandigarh originally settled in Canada. The way they have portrait the city is exceptional, the residential area, the government’s offices the roads, the lake. Ahh It was so nostalgic, It made me love the movie even more. The whole team did such a great job ?? and yes the movie is a must watch 🙂

14. Once again Bollywood Hypocrisy exposed, in the scene When Pankaj & Shahid kapoor went to Mrunal's home then Her father refused their marriage because of other community.
    In original (Jersey 2019) scene Her father(who is Christian) told her he will allow/accept their marriage if & only if he convert in Christian from Hindu, then Heroine refused &said, "no, he will not convert"
    Why this scene has changed while all the movie is same copy. Christian Conversion is the biggest issue in Tribal/illiterate areas of India today.

17. Jammy, just finished watching Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey. I will be honest, I didn’t watch the original one but bro you are absolutely correct Shahid Kapoor is forever underrated. I think I am ok with that because every movie he proves people that he is top quality. I mean his relationship with his son, wife and coach is mind blowing and the way expressed it motivated me big time.

    Raghuvir Yadav did splendid job
    Ninda Gupta also others except rinky and last but not the least
    Durgesh Kumar (Bhushan ) villain of the series always wins heart of the audiance
    I have to say that
    But Rinky I don't now the name of the girl and I don't want to know
    Her casting was stereotype village girl.
    Rasicam and uneducate.
    Casting director should have to thought about that
    She didn't justify with the character.
    She doesn't do acting
    In her acting the village flavour was missing.
    Conviction was missing in her acting.

19. Bollywood remakes south movies I agree. But does always Bollywood remakes south movies or south movie directors remakes their own movies in hindi casting Bollywood actors.?

The main reason this movie flopped is because of how popular the original Jersey was.Almost everyone saw that movie unlike the prior instance where not a lot of people watched Arjun Reddy before Kabhir Singh was released.I knew this movie would flop since Jersey was watched by almost every Hindi audience.

26. Everywhere I am seeing positive reviews for jersey, but no one went to theatres I think so…. collections are very less…I think most of the people have already seen nani's jersey…

27. i have nothing against this movie or Shahid's performance. He is brilliant, and a fine actor.
    But, I wouldn't want to pay to watch this movie in Theatre, rather these are stuff for OTT.

    The number of Goosebumps I had while watching KGF2, I dont know if I can compare it with any film.

    KGF2 – cinematography, picturization tells it all that its a theatrical movie

28. I am from Chandigarh. And i dont know what others think about our accent and the way we talk
    But when i watched the movie, i was convinced by both shahid and pankaj sir’s way of talking, trust me this is how we talk there. This half hindi punjabi mixer comes in our way of talking. It was perfect the way they did it. Also, it was not annoying.
    And about his friends in the movie, i guess the writers did a thorough research how people behave there, this is how our friends are…energetic, helpful, emotional and supportive. It was perfectly shown in the movie. Ye vehled friends aise hi krte h, we hv seen our father’s frnds behaving this way then ours. I think Jammy it was perfect.

29. I wasn't very impressed with Kabir Singh. As feel Arjun Reddy had better acting. I haven't seen the original version of this movie but haven't heard great things it either. I like that Shahid is trying to diversify his acting. However I have never really been a fan either. I do think it's awesome that Pankaj Kapoor is in this film though. I think if a actor is trying to challenge himself like Shahid is that's great. I just hope he gets to experiment more now.

32. The movie is well directed and performances are phenomenal. Shahid's conviction as the character Arjun in the movie is fabolous. I am not an emotional guy, but honestly I cried like a baby.
