Jersey Devil: An American Monster | Detective Ridiculous

In South Jersey and Philadelphia folklore in the United States, the Jersey Devil (also known as the Leeds Devil) is a legendary creature said to inhabit the forests of the Pine Barrens in South Jersey. The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many variations. The common description is that of a bipedal kangaroo-like or wyvern-like creature with a horse- or goat-like head, leathery bat-like wings, horns, small arms with clawed hands, legs with cloven hooves, and a forked or pointed tail. It has been reported to move quickly and is often described as emitting a high-pitched «blood-curdling scream»

  1. "The headless ghost becomes friends with the demon baby…"
Oh please Bricky, the Ministorum Priest with a library on his back is friends with the angelic baby and the neko tech priest in your own podcast, suspend your disbelief for just a little why don't you 😛

  2. The Captain Kidd party REALLY sounds like a Scooby Doo episode. Two guys dress up like local legends to scare people away while they look for Captain Kidd's lost treasure

  3. Hi guys! Im big into the spooky shit but still apply the super power called common sense. A few people believe the jersey devil isnt a living creature, but more paranormal ghost type hauntings. More than likely the thirteenth baby did come out grotesque, and unfortunately was "put to rest" and the amount of negativity, possible cursing the child in the womb led to the creation of "jersey devil" which would be in laymans term a negative entity similar to a demon. However thats assuming all the spiritual stuff is…ya know…real. but wonderful halloween episode, and i would personally love an episode on the giant bones and the knowledge cartel that is smithsonian museum

EDIT: DK cryptozoology is, yes, looking for creatures however the correct translation, crypto being mystery/elusive and zoology, the study of creatures. For every jersey devil nessie and bigfoot, there are coelacanths, the kermit frogs and possibly a tasmnian tiger unless aussies hoaxed it.
