Impeach Biden
Why don't they have a self-service area and a full-service area? Seriously, the "pumpers" can be trained for other skills that can open additional opps for them.
Why do people want to pump their own gas?
And we don't mind. We don't have to pump and it keeps someone employed.
Asking women's their reasons and why they have significantly higher opposition to a self-service fuel station is a story in its own. Safety concerns would be my guess. The audacity of men I've witnessed..
Wow – back to the old days eh !!
That’s a lie Oregontoo
Except on military bases
I like full service. We don't have anymore in the south and that is the one thing I really miss. I could pull up and get gas, get my windshield cleaned and my oil checked.
I was astonished when I met a girl from jersey and she didn’t know how to pump gas. And when I went to jersey and got cussed out for grabbing the pump. The gas isn’t really cheaper. I kinda liked having my gas pumped though
I'm from PA and worked in NJ for 8 years and did not like this rule. Many times I sat in the car waiting for the attendant to emerge to pump the gas when I could have done it myself and been back on the road. It was nice in the extreme cold, though.
It’s just a no skill tipping job that’s outdated. It promotes laziness. It should be disbanded. I don’t need tip leeches taking my money.
As a Jersey girl who had to learn how to pump gas for the first time going to school in Ohio, I can definitely say I HATE self service and the lines are WORST. I have found that most people just leave their cars at the pump and vanish. So they can have have their car there sitting 20mins before actually getting gas or some just use it as a parking spot which is unacceptable. Definitely can't wait to get back home now
The first time I was in jersey and someon tried to pump my gas I thought the men where trying to rob me.
Ummmm Oregon
Don't change this law ..some old people NEED the help. They need the gas to be pumped for them.
Not everyone is young.
Gas Prices will be no less and it will only mean less service and more profit for the gas station. Nothing else.
Keep the law in place. Dont change it for narrow self interests. Those interests will not be in favor of the customer
no matter how they pitch it to you.
Interesting. I lived in WI and FL. Have pumped my own gas my whole life except a few times in WI when it was below zero weather. I like driving up and pumping my own gas better. But if it's a law, nothing you can do.
NJ is a Democrat dump. Cant pump you gas, can't get a plastic bag. I think you need a permit to wipe your own butt too.
Another a$$ backward state–
But why is NJ full service only? Never answered the question.
I live in NJ and I love full service. I hate when I go out of state and have to pump my own gas.
Born and raised and still live here. The push to get rid of full-service is only supported by a small minority here, and most of those are transplants who havent lived here their whole life.
If you want to fill up your own gas that badly, live in another state. Nobody's making you live here.
Also gas wont be any lower of course, thats a made up stat. Tons of states have higher gas prices than we do and they're all self-serve.
Gas attendants are about as needed as a bathroom attendant in a strip club ?????
That guy looked good for 86.
Seriously, who wants to pump their own gas when you are dressed to go out, or go to work? Who wants to pump gas on those rainy or snowy days? Definitely not me! And yes this Jersey girl knows how to pump her own gas.
In Jersey we pump our fists – not our gas !
Why didn't the issue of cancer come up? I remember the reason stated by the other states, working gas pumps is cancer causing.
I hated this driving through Oregon coming from a state with nothing but self-serve. If I made it this far I probably can pump my own gas…
Mike Who Cheese Harry?!???
GOOD FOR NEW JERSEY. THAT IS TAKING AWAY JOBS, BREAD IF OF CHILDREN'S MOUTHS, PERSONS BECOMING HOMLESS, DOWN WITH THE POLITICIANS. YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE MORE JOBLESS AND HOMELESS PERSONS IN NEW JERSEY. GOVERNMENT GET OUT OF IT. IT IS THE LEAST IMPORTANT OF ISSUES TO COVER. KEEP OPPOSING IT.
Because Jersey is fkn stupid.
People in NJ like to spend a lot of money and complain about high cost. They will have a law that you can't plug the charger into your EV.
