36 pensamientos sobre “Subway vs. Jersey Mike's

  1. Applied to Jersey mikes a year ago for a job. I never heard back from them so ever since then I’ve been giving Jersey mikes the side eye and eating at subway just in spite of them (I’m a touchy human being)

  2. Working at JJ's doing delivery for two years added 20 pounds and 2 inches to my waist. But DAMN if their subs aren't simple, yet extremely filling. And if you do extra veggies and light cheese and TBO, it's actually relatively healthy.

  3. I hate that Subway cannot cut the roll evenly! You always end up with a skinny side and a huge hunk of bread at the ends with your insides falling out

  4. You know what's funny Subway, Subway is going to go downhill so fast that you cannot believe it the way they treat their franchisees is horrible they make use ridiculous coupons that make us lose money and the ridiculousness around the franchisee is unreal I believe in 30 years there will be no more subways if they continue on this path

  5. When it comes to reheating Pizza, I only reheat the slice or slices I am going to eat, not the entire left over pie. The same for any leftovers, I only microwave the portion I am going to eat.

  6. Subway's biggest problems are quality and proportions. Bread doesn't taste like fresh bread. More like fancy Wonder Bread. The meats and cheeses were never good and there was never enough. A $5 foot long that was 85% lettuce and finished with 2 slices of meat that tasted like old sneaker seemed reasonable at that price. They had the classic fault of cutting quality to maximize profit then raising the price. Jersey Mike's is just a good, old fashioned deli/bodega sandwich. You can taste the ingredients, the bread has good chew, there's more meat than vegetable filler and they make it fresh in front of you. If Subway wants to compete, they need to abandon the corporate profit driven models that strip the food of any soul. Just do exactly what Jersey Mike's does, 100%, no shortcuts and cost cutting. It's nearly impossible for a company with that structure to change their mentaliy though.

  7. i agree jersey mikes is miles better but it most definitely isnt the same price range. especially with all the coupons and such subway has floating around i can usually get 2 footlongs for around 15-20$ whereas 2 giants from JM will run you like $40

  8. my brother works at jersey mikes and on the day before christmas eve some guy ordered 200 sandwiches with abt an hour of warning, then never came to pick them up despite paying. we ate good that week.

  9. Problem with Jersey Mikes is just the availability. I have 5 subways in my small city and the nearest jersey mikes is an hour and a half away and I live in central California.

  10. Jersey Mike's destroys some of the best Delis around, let alone Subway. There really is no good competitor in our area, and we are a pretty tourist heavy restaurant heavy area.
