7. Check out the Pine Barrens. Wharton State Forest alone has over 500 miles of unpaved roads in its hundred thousand-plus acres of forests.

10. One of the first times I went off roading in my ‘21 Venture I knew nothing about it. Just went right in and drove onto a trail in Jackson, NJ behind Six Flags. Long story short, I was rescued by a tow truck after getting stuck in a pit of water and learned a valuable lesson that day. When I look back to that day I always laugh but I still consider myself very lucky.
