2. My Nana got divorced and couldn’t afford to support my father and his brother so she gave my Dads brother away. It messed my Dad up and his brother. I think she thought at the time she was doing the right thing but it did a lot of damage that couldn’t be reversed. It left my father with a hole in his heart because his baby brother was gone and it left my uncle wondering why it was so easy for his Mom to give him away, even though I’m sure it wasn’t. If you have the chance to reconnect with birth parents etc. you should do it maybe it won’t change the way you feel but you could be giving them a gift and that’s priceless.
