I visit Jersey in the Channel Isles, the place of my birth, for a look at the island’s scenery and history.

  1. Thank you so much for an excellent video of Jersey. I was born in St Helier in 1940, and left in 1963 to live in New Zealand and later in South Africa. But I have returned to Jersey on several occasions, my heart lies there. Thank you again Simon for showing the real Jersey🤗🇯🇪

  2. It sounds quite nationalistic for Jersey to promote British not French commander.I don't understand why Jersey is not part of the UK but as a fact of being crown dependency there is only more bureaucracy to claim more money ,and outsiders suffer only….To pay for registration just to flow more money inside the British empire

  3. My mum dad and brother were all born in jersey, both parents went through the occupation, heard many stories from them about the nazis, im the black sheep born in new zealand when they immigrated here in the 60's, went back in 77 and would love to come back one day after covid….great video

  4. Brilliant video! I had the pleasure of coming to the island from the Isle of Man in 2018 for work but never got out of St. Helier! I've always wanted to go back and actually see the rest of the island. Jersey is definitely on our list of places to go! Thanks for the informative video!

  5. A long time ago just after the war, can still remember the early morning 'Rozel Bay Bacon Sandwiches' with my father, never to be forgotten along with all the other wonderful memories.
